A Productive Garden - work in progress Suffolk In the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian house, tucked away in a beautiful valley in Suffolk, a productive garden is being brought to life. With ancient flint walls on two sides, an opening in the hedge to the east leads into an orchard, to the south, to a meadow. The brief was to link the orchard with the kitchen garden, incorporate productive beds, introduce some water, a greenhouse and for it to become a place to entertain friends. Clipped clear stem deciduous trees surround a raised pond forming the heart of the garden, grounding the whole - a living arbour, wonderful to sit in the dappled shade on hot summer days. |
