A garden with an oval lawn
north Norfolk Surrounding a grade II listed rambling Georgian house is a garden of many parts, a courtyard, a walled garden, a parterre and a south facing expansive lawn, to be surrounded by structural, billowy, scented planting. Pleached trees along the edge of the oval lawn echo the verandah and give a gentle sense of division between the lawn area and the front of the house. Their shadows are cast onto the gravel of the drive, animating the garden as the sun moves throughout the day. The walled garden is to be planted with scented shrubs and perennials, with climbing roses scrambling up walls and large leafy climbers tumbling over a pergola giving dappled shade to the eating area. |
