Converted Barn Garden
north Norfolk

The garden is situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty, a stone's throw from the north Norfolk coast.  The converted barn was bought for the magical tucked away garden.

In one part of the garden there's a formal wildlife pond surrounded by lawn and clipped yew hedging.  Pleached trees give privacy along a boundary.  An archway in an old wall leads into an orchard with mown paths and a garden store.  A space where time seems to stand still in the early morning and evenings.

An eating area has a beautiful old garrya that has grown into a tree, a rose and jasmine covered pergola leads into the orchard.

A garden store sits quietly in the orchard.  Made from hardwood so that it will age in time, it has a pergola at either end with climbing roses to help it merge into the background.  A practical solution that doesn't draw too much attention to itself.
